Dr. Sk. Md. Mashrur

Transportation engineer, educator, and researcher advancing resilient and sustainable urban mobility at BUET.

Lab Director

Dr. Sk. Md. Mashrur

Assistant Professor of Transportation Engineering
Department of Civil Engineering · Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology

Dr. Mashrur has served as a full time BUET faculty member since 2016. He completed his PhD in Civil Engineering at the University of Toronto in July 2023 with a dissertation on transit demand resilience. Since September 2023, he has combined graduate supervision and research at BUET with an NSERC postdoctoral fellowship involving the University of Toronto and McMaster University.

His research connects transit analytics, travel behaviour and choice modelling, electrification, accessibility and transport poverty, intelligent transport systems, machine learning, geospatial analysis, and agent based simulation. His work is designed to produce actionable policy insight for data scarce and resource constrained urban transport systems.
